Kaitlyn is at her first day of school right now. As we were driving away (they won't let you walk them to class) Neal asked if I was okay. Yes, of course I was okay. I asked why he wanted to know. He pointed out all the cars scattered across the big parking lot with a crying mom in it. =) Nope I didn't cry. I feel Kaitlyn Joy will be as brave as me or more so, because she's independent, if I'm upset and causing a fuss then she might be upset too. I've been preparing her for school by relating it to her going to VBS. I would drop her off in the morning then pick her back up a few hours later. I was surprised when the idea upset her at first. That all doesn't matter now because she happily got out of the car with the school staff member and headed off to her class. One of her classmates wasn't as fortunate. The poor girl was taken from her car screaming. After seeing the red faced child being carried away I looked back and saw a crying mom. Hopefully the little girl can quickly adjust to going to school. It made me think how we are sending Kaitlyn to school because she's so independent and a leader. She needs people to lead. However, the other mom is probably sending her child because she's clingy and needs to learn to be more independent.
