For those who don't check the Stansel's blog, here's a little update on them. Sorry it's late in coming.
The Stansel's spent their weekend in Austin laying three of their little ones to rest. On Wednesday their last little boy, Braden, passed away. Amanda and Thomas seem to be handling the loss of all three children well, but I could imagine this last one was the hardest. They had him longer and were able to start seeing his personality come out. Does a micro preemie have a personality yet? I guess so. Braden's last moments on earth was spent in his parents arms.
Three girls, Rachel, Ashlyn, and Haley, are doing as well as expected for micro preemies. Two of the girls are on breast milk feeds which is excellent.
Please keep this family in your prayers. This is a very hard journey they are walking. They just put half their children in the ground and strongly believe they will bring the other half home. They are trusting God that they will not only see Dallin, Kaitlyn, and Braden again, but that their sisters will come home. Amanda and Thomas need strength to weather the storm and peace to walk it sanely. Their little girls need many things... Ashlyn had water drained from her brain, they all have an infection right now (I believe lungs) which is common in preemies... I'll just say pray for healthy bodies. Just because they're small doesn't mean they have to be sick. There are so many things that can go wrong or be struggles for micro preemies. The girls are dealing with some of these issues now.
