Urgent! Pregnant & Prayers Needed
We've known for over a week that we're pregnant. Tuesday I had a blood test to confirm the pregnancy and the number was close to Kaitlyn Joy's. After officially learning I was pregnant with Kj I never had a second blood test. This probably saved us a lot of headache and stress. The clinic we're at now does at least two tests. Thursday I had my second beta test. It was a long day. The doctor was called to a different hospital and spent most of the day there. He called me after 7pm to say my numbers didn't double. He went on to say they like to see them go up at least 60% in 48 hours, but mine only went up 30%. Of course this isn't good news. He let his doubt of the viability of the pregnancy be known. He told me to come back Saturday morning for a third test. We want to see the numbers double, but right now I'll take the 60% increase.
I did have the blood test early this morning, but because it's Saturday I have the pleasure of not learning the results until Monday. The head nurse was supposed to see if the Dr would call me today, but from the sound of her email I don't believe he went in today.
The baby is already reeking havoc on my system as it has for the past week. Last night I may have eaten three slow bites of my dinner, working hard to keep it down, before I had to call it quits. I "like" to do all day morning sickness while giving it extra gusto in the evening. I'll gladly take the tiny meals several times a day while fighting to keep it down for the next eight weeks if it means this little bean hangs around for the long haul.
We've been claiming the life of this baby and now we ask you to do the same. We not only want a healthy baby, but a completely whole child both mind and body. We know our bodies miscarry babies that have problems which is why we are asking God for a completely healing and for the beta numbers to go up.
Note: I write in the single about the baby, but we know it can be twins. It's simpler to just put "baby" rather then baby(ies).
Disclaimer: Before anyone gets their granny panties in a knot on how you found out join the club. We did our best to keep the IVF and pregnancy a secret from all our family and most of our friends until now. I started by saying we wanted to tell you all in a special way, but because the baby is making the doctors doubt we feel we need to get the info out ASAP. Just remember this isn't about you and your feelings, but our baby. Please do not call asking questions. We just need you to pray. Also, even if the person is family and cares about us, that doesn't mean they need to know about our pregnancy and that it has been called into question. So please no gossipy "prayer request" that leave people just wanting more info. If they don't have a heart to pray fervently over the matter then don't share it with them. We don't need doubters and naysayers speaking negatively over our baby.
Thank you for praying!
